九重葛

介紹

多年生藤狀灌木，嫩莖有刺，老粗莖無刺。葉心臟形或三角形，全緣，對生。花小不顯著，通常無花瓣，聚繖花序，花苞特別大而明顯，三合生，似花（我們通常所認為的花），有紫、紅白、橙黃或深紅等色，有單瓣、重瓣及斑葉等品種。花期視品種而定，常見於冬、春季。苞片三片合生，質地很薄有如紙張。

熱情，堅韌不拔，頑強奮進。

栽培方法

九重葛性喜陽光充足排水良好的地方，蔭暗潮溼會造成枝條徒長不易開花，氮肥不能施用太多，否則只長葉不開花，春末及夏初，宜少灌水，使其幾乎枯萎邊緣，並修剪枝條，就都可促進開花。現今園藝品種非常多，從有刺改進到無刺，硬枝改進到軟枝，花色(苞片顏色)也由原來的桃紅色增加到紅、粉紅、白、橙黃、紫等各色，更有雙色花、重瓣、葉斑紋等品種，並且將株型縮小，以更適合居家布置用。

應用

具蔓性可做拱門、綠牆等造型。
